Hi! My name is Elad Meidar, i am a Web developer.

I don’t develop software because I have to. I develop software because I love it. And i love that i get paid to do what i love too.

I Have been developing web applications since 1998, i worked for several startup companies in Israel and managed a few as well. In early 2002 i did my first "exit" when i sold a coupon aggregation website i created and was basically my first, real scale web application.

I have been developing on far too many platforms, frameworks and languages starting with Assembler, Mainframe programming, C/C++, ASP, C#.Net, and PHP. In late late 2005, while i was working on a deadly PHP project i came across a nice post that was telling something about a young danish guy who developed an awesome framework, i was intrigued.

A few months later, i was leading the #2 Ruby on Rails development team in Israel, peaking at 7 people almost all of them were introduced and mentored to rails by me. When that company went to a halt i worked a while for SeekingAlpha and after that i moved to the US and opened my own company.

Ever since then i do my best to keep up with rails, contribute back to open source and generally have fun working on Rails projects on my company. When i hang around IRC it's always on irc.freenode.net on #rubyonrails and #railsbridge, hope in and say hi!
